ICS has designed several new products that embrace the trend for built-in, hygienic, touch-free application for both color cosmetics and skincare.
One applicator technology that has been in high demand are our silicon tip applicators, available in various shapes and functionalities for both lip and face formulations. The soft flexible silicon tip applicator easily glides over the skin, making the application process smooth and effortless. Silicone applicators are also easily washable making it an ideal applicator option for skincare products. Our newest silicon tip innovations at ICS include our 16mmD and 19mmD tubes with curved or slanted silicon tip applicators, which also have a unique twist locking feature that ensures the formulation only dispenses when the lock is in the open position. They are an ideal packaging option for more viscous formulations for lip, face and acne care.
The easy, hands-free application process of click pens make them a lasting re-occurring trend, since their non-return click dispensing system keeps the formulation touch free until application. At ICS we offer Click Pens in a variety of sizes, with a variety of innovative applicators, such as silicone tips, showerhead tips, rollerballs, doefoots, brushes, scrubbers and more.
At ICS, one of our newest click pen innovations is our flush fit, twist-click dispensing slim stick with slant tip. The non-return twist click dispenser provides a convenient and hygienic application solution, just twist to dispense the desired amount of formulation and swipe-on to apply. The 9mm diameter cup, slant tip and tall, slim, flush fit profile make it a stylish option for a variety of lip color, lip care and face care formulations.
With the onset of COVID-19 consumers have become increasingly aware of hygienic practices, with “Wash your hands” and “Don’t touch your face” as two of the main pieces of advice against the spread of COVID-19. This hygiene conscious focus has come into effect in consumers beauty routines leading to an increasing demand for beauty packaging with built-in applicators, as they remove the need to touch or apply the formulation with your fingers. At ICS, we anticipate this trend to accelerate in 2021 and beyond. Consumers have experienced less colds and flus the past year and will continue to look for hygienic products that allow contactless, flow through application.
With the new custom of wearing face masks consumers are focusing their attention on their lashes and brows. As a result, at ICS we have seen an increased growth in demand for microblading brow pens with 3 or 4 pronged felt tip applicators, ultra-skinny mascara brushes used for brow and lash serums, as well as classic mini brow gel brushes.
ICS worked with Arcadia Consumer Healthcare to custom design their exclusive duo end Opti-Nail® 2-in-1 Fungal Nail Repair plus Antifungal system. The duo-end flush fit cylindrical pack was created with optimum functionality in mind, as one side includes a brush applicator that evenly distributes the antifungal medication for full, even coverage on the skin around the nail, helping protect and treat the skin around the nail. The opposite side which includes nail brightener and revitalizing formulation has a unique pointed, angled, felt tip applicator that helps to precisely apply the formulation on the nail, to improve nail appearance.
The inner PP bottles on both sides provide excellent compatibility with the formulations and the outer sleeve with window provides a sturdy case that is easy to package and sneak a peek at the product inside.
