ICS now offers high density polyethylene (HDPE) ocean plastic tubes featuring recycled HDPE derived from fishing nets, ropes and trawls derived from the ocean and maritime industry. It is recommended that the tubes feature an outer layer of ocean plastic HDPE and a virgin PE inner layer. The maximum outer layer recycled percentage is 50%. The tubes are available in 13-50 mm sizes. They can be decorated with offset printing, silkscreen and hot stamp, as well as glossy, matte and soft touch finish options..
Natural flourishes in packaging are on the rise, offering growing sophistication and sustainability benefits. For instance, the ICS Bamboo Collection is derived from FSC-certified bamboo. Bamboo is fast-growing and has a small water footprint; it also produces 35% more oxygen than trees per hectare and can absorb as much as 12 tons of CO2 each year. The ICS collection can be decorated with laser engraving or silk screen printing, though heated finishes are not available with bamboo.
ICS has captured the sustainable “glassification” trend in skin care and color cosmetics with its glass bottles with wands for mascara, lip and face formulations. The glass mascara bottles are available in two round-molded options—the Volume Glass Bottle (20.8 mm) with an approximately 10 ml fill and the Slim Glass Bottle (18.8 mm) with an approximately 8 ml fill. The ICS Exclusive Glass Bottles for lip or face formulations are available in two round molded glass bottle options—Classic (21.7 mm) and Chubby (24 mm)—both designed with a 9 ml fill. Both options feature a gooseneck design that extends under the caps to ensure the bottles look fuller longer without the need of a collar or cheater band on the neck. The bottles offer various applicator options such as a standard doe foot, chubby doe foot, spatula, brush and rollerball.
