Recycling and being environmentally conscious is nothing new. Now, we have even more options to be environmentally friendly in the cosmetic packaging industry and one way that is gaining popularity is the use of post consumer recycled plastic (PCR). Plastic that has already been used to produce packaging, gone through a first use, and becomes waste is considered post consumer recycled (PCR) material. This is different than 100% recycled plastic which may only process scrap plastic. ICS has several sources for PCR and can provide a wide variety of PCR options for our cosmetic packaging components.

Recently, ICS has also developed 3-layer co-ex tubes with 33% HDPE PCR in the middle layer. HDPE PCR is added to the tube sleeve and we also can add PCR in the PP cap. ICS can add HDPE PCR to almost ANY tube projects, no matter the length, diameter or applicator choice.
