Reports to: PPD Manager

Main Roles:

1. Product Development/Cosmetic Packaging 
2. To effectively research and manage the development of existing products 
3. To support the team of account managers and in turn growth of the company

1. Maintaining comprehensive project status documentation – to review once a week with the Account Manager and Marketing/Sales 
2. Troubleshoot development issues and identify development opportunities. Manage development projects through to completion. 
3. Visit factories to view facilities, review or introduce new and current projects and to keep abreast to all new stock/public items as well as new technologies 
4. Day-to-day correspondence including discussion of new and current projects, timelines, sample requests, passing of information. 
5. Communicate and negotiate with component factories on existing item development all the way up to when the item is approved. 
6. Create Photo Quotations for clients 
7. Request, review and negotiate prices from factory sources upon request 
8. Track, assess and evaluate all received samples. 
9. Create approval boards for customer sign off 
10. Start development specification sheets to pass to the ICS engineers for completion 
11. Administrative Duties, copying, faxing, filing, sending multiple parcels, typing, arranging and labeling samples, etc

1. Product development experience in plastic packaging 
2. Shows initiative 
3. Good troubleshooting and negotiating skills 
4. A degree or equivalent experience in merchandising and product development 
5. Sound communication skills 
6. Multi-tasking 
7. Reliable organization skills 
8. Team spirited and good reporting habits 
9. Mandatory Languages – Mandarin, Cantonese and English 
10. Computer literacy including Microsoft Office. Experience with Microsoft Project an advantage
